Twirl-On Module Placer

The Twirl-On Module Placer is a double-ended orthodontic instrument with a hooked working tip at each end, shaped to catch an elastomeric module and twirl it onto a bracket in one continuous motion. The hook engages the module, the clinician rotates the instrument, and the module tracks around the bracket wings and seats into the slot without releasing the archwire. The hardened stainless-steel tips retain their curve across sterilisation cycles, and the knurled stainless-steel handle keeps a stable wet grip. Equate Instruments supplies the instrument fully autoclavable, corrosion resistant and non-sterile, alongside the rest of the orthodontic ligation range.

Elastic Placement Applicator 16 cm - Hollow Handle 10 mm

The Elastic Placement Applicator is a 16 cm double-ended instrument designed to stretch and seat elastomeric chain, separators and intraoral elastics onto brackets, molar tubes and auxiliary hooks. Both working ends are slim angled hooks that the clinician can slide under a module and draw over a bracket wing without slipping, while the double-ended geometry gives a reach option for both upper and lower arches. The 10 mm hollow anatomical handle with grip rings reduces hand fatigue during high-volume tie-in appointments. Equate Instruments supplies the applicator non-sterile for in-clinic steam sterilisation in pouches or cassettes.

Ligature Director - 17.5 cm Hollow Handle

This ligature director is a double-ended orthodontic hand instrument for guiding stainless-steel wire ligatures into the bracket slot and redirecting protruding pigtails under the archwire. Both working ends taper to a fine point, giving the clinician precise entry into the tie-wing undercut without flexing the ligature out of position. The 17.5 cm hollow stainless-steel handle keeps weight low so the instrument stays balanced in a pen grip, while its deep circumferential ridges maintain control even with wet gloves. Autoclavable and supplied non-sterile, this Equate Instruments director is a daily-driver for orthodontic ligation and wire adjustments.

Elastomeric Ligature Placing Forceps - 12 cm

The 12 cm Elastomeric Ligature Placing Forceps carries pre-formed elastomeric modules and stretches them over the bracket tie-wings to ligate an archwire. The fine serrated tips lock onto the elastic, the scissor-style finger rings give the operator standard thumb-and-index control, and the box-lock ratchet holds the elastic under tension while the module is positioned at the bracket. Equate Instruments builds this forceps from hardened stainless steel with polished finger rings. It is fully autoclavable and supplied non-sterile for in-clinic steam sterilisation.

Elastomeric Ligature Placing Forceps - 14 cm

The 14 cm Elastomeric Ligature Placing Forceps carries elastomeric modules onto bracket tie-wings with a Mathieu-style spring handle and a curved serrated tip. The self-closing spring keeps the jaws clamped on the elastic between placements, the gentle curve at the working end redirects the module onto the bracket without rotating the wrist, and the extended 14 cm length gives reach into posterior segments. Equate Instruments builds this forceps from hardened stainless steel with polished spring handles. It is fully autoclavable and supplied non-sterile for in-clinic steam sterilisation.

Double-Ended Ligature Director

The Double-Ended Ligature Director is a chairside orthodontic instrument with a notched forked tip on each working end. The forks seat under the archwire and push elastic or steel ligatures over, under and around brackets, directing the ligature into the slot without trapping the cheek or tongue in the process. Both working ends are hardened stainless steel for edge retention, and the non-magnetic hollow stainless-steel handle is knurled for a reliable wet grip. Equate Instruments supplies the instrument non-sterile, fully autoclavable and corrosion resistant, ready for daily use alongside standard ligation scalers and bracket placers.
