Carver 5 - Double-Ended 2.0/2.5mm with Knurled Handle

Carver 5 is a double-ended restorative hand carver used to remove excess amalgam or composite and to sculpt occlusal anatomy into cured and uncured restorations. One end presents a small flat paddle blade for broad excess removal and fossa shaping, while the opposite end carries a fine curved tip for contouring marginal ridges, triangular ridges and supplemental grooves. The 2.0-2.5 mm working size keeps the instrument versatile across posterior preparations. Machined from surgical-grade stainless steel on a lightweight knurled handle, the instrument delivers a stable grip during fine carving strokes. It is fully autoclavable between patients. Equate Instruments hand-finishes each edge so the Carver 5 keeps predictable geometry across many steam-sterilisation cycles.

Nystrom III Carver 1.8 mm

The Nystrom III is a double-ended restorative carver with fine, angled working tips engineered for carving, shaping, and refining occlusal anatomy in composite and amalgam restorations. Its narrow profile allows precise access to grooves and marginal ridges where a wider carver would obscure the operative field. The silicone-sleeved anatomical handle provides a balanced fingertip grip during detailed carving, and the stainless-steel working ends hold their geometry across repeated sterilisation cycles. Supplied non-sterile by Equate Instruments for in-office steam processing in pouches or cassettes.

Frahm Carver - Light Green Silicone Slim Handle

The Frahm Carver is a double-ended restorative carver for shaping amalgam and packable composite on occlusal and proximal surfaces. The pointed working tip on one end defines pits, grooves, and narrow line angles; the flat, slightly angled counter-tip refines cusp inclines and trims marginal overhangs without gouging the cavosurface. The slim light-green silicone-sleeved handle from Equate Instruments cushions sustained carving appointments and helps sort carvers and modellers at a glance in a cassette. Stainless-steel tips resist bending under carving force and are fully autoclavable.

Maehlum Carver - Light Green Silicone Slim Handle

The Maehlum Carver is a double-ended restorative carver with paired bevelled working ends for shaping amalgam and packable composite. The more angled end refines cusp inclines and trims marginal overhangs; the counter-tip is bevelled in the opposite direction so the clinician can carve mirror-image surfaces on buccal and lingual cusps without rotating the patient's head. The slim light-green silicone-sleeved handle from Equate Instruments cushions sustained carving sessions and helps identify the Maehlum pattern at a glance inside a restorative cassette. Stainless-steel tips retain their edge through repeated autoclaving.

Its two angled paddle tips are offset to trim overhangs, carve marginal ridges, and establish interproximal contours without flattening the occlusal anatomy already shaped by the operator. The slim light-green silicone-sleeved handle from Equate Instruments cushions the grip during sustained carving and speeds colour-coded sorting inside a cassette. Stainless-steel paddles hold their edge through repeated autoclaving and are designed to resist bending when trimming firm amalgam.
